Health Requirements for Clinical Participation

All students must meet the following health requirements before participating in clinical rotations:

• Physical Examination – A recent physical exam confirming fitness for clinical duties.
• MMR Immunity – Proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) through vaccination or titer test.
• Tuberculosis Screening – A negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON, or T-SPOT) or Chest X-Ray if positive.
• Drug Screen – A negative drug screening test as per clinical site requirements.
• Influenza Vaccination – Proof of annual flu vaccination.
• TDAP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) – Documentation of a recent Tdap booster.
• Varicella Immunity – Proof of immunity to chickenpox via vaccination or titer test.

All required documentation must be submitted before the deadline to ensure eligibility for clinical participation.
For your convenience, you can have your physical and labs completed at our Shenandoah Medical Center or, at a Medical Provider of your choice.
